Brian Michael Gurule

Hi everyone,

We’re asking for help for our our family and Brian, who is facing another major health challenge.

Many of you know that Brian has already been through so much. Years ago, he received a liver transplant, and thanks to that gift and his incredible determination, he was able to keep fighting and continue making memories with his family.

Now, he is in need of a lung transplant, and his transplant team has directed him to Ohio for treatment. This is a huge step toward giving him a better quality of life and more time with the people he loves.The difficult part is that he may need to stay in Ohio for up to a year while waiting for the transplant, recovering afterward, and attending frequent follow-up appointments. That means being far from home, away from family and friends, and facing expenses that quickly add up.

The funds raised will help cover things like:

• Travel between California and Ohio

• Housing near the transplant center

• Transportation to and from medical appointments

• Daily living expenses while away from home

• Lost income and family expenses during this long journey.

If you know Brian, you know he is a fighter. He has faced every challenge with strength, courage, and determination. But no one should have to go through something like this alone. We’re hoping to ease some of the financial stress so that we can focus on what matters most—his health, recovery, and spending precious time together.

Family and friends of Brian Gurule are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a transplant. Brian has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.
