Help Brian Through His Double Lung Transplant Recovery

On August 12, Brian LeDuc received an extraordinary gift—a successful double lung transplant at UNC. After a rapid decline in his health and time spent critically ill in the ICU, Brian now has a new opportunity to breathe, recover, and move forward.

But the transplant is only the beginning of a long journey. Brian will require extensive follow-up care, rehabilitation, testing, medications, and frequent trips to Chapel Hill as his medical team closely monitors him for rejection, infection, and other complications.

Brian’s wife, Kathleen, has had to stop working to become his full-time caregiver. At the same time, the family is facing growing transplant-related expenses, including insurance deductibles and copays, medications, transportation, parking, and potentially lodging near his medical providers.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 through Help Hope Live to help ease these transplant-related financial burdens so Brian and Kathleen can focus on what matters most—his recovery. Each donation is fully tax-deductible.
