Imagine being 13 years old and loving video games, laughing with your family, and enjoying the simple things in life—but needing a wheelchair and assistance just to get out and experience the world.

Our daughter is 13 years old and lives with cerebral palsy. She is funny, loving, and happiest when she is surrounded by her family or enjoying her favorite video games. She deserves the chance to experience life, make memories, and enjoy being a kid without transportation constantly standing in her way.

We are raising $75,000 toward a wheelchair-accessible vehicle that will allow her to safely travel in her wheelchair and make getting out of the house much easier for our entire family.

This isn’t simply about getting a vehicle.

It’s about giving our daughter more opportunities to live her life.

It’s about being able to take her to appointments without the stress of transferring her in and out of a vehicle. It’s about visiting family. Going places together. Attending activities. Getting out of the house. Making memories.

And it’s about giving her the opportunity to say “yes” when her family wants to go somewhere instead of transportation being the reason she has to stay behind.

We’re hoping to purchase a 2023 or newer Toyota Sienna with a side-entry wheelchair ramp and fewer than 50,000 miles. The cost of an accessible vehicle is far beyond what our family can afford on our own, which is why we’re asking for help through Help Hope Live.
