Daniel McFadden

My son is 26 years old and has faced extraordinary challenges since the day he was born. He was born with congenital microcephaly, and as he grew older, he was diagnosed with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, a rare and severe form of epilepsy that causes frequent seizures and requires constant care.

Just six months ago, our family received another life-changing diagnosis: Christianson syndrome, an extremely rare genetic disorder that helps explain many of the challenges he has faced throughout his life.

Despite everything, he continues to bring joy, unconditional love, and a smile that reminds us every day what true strength looks like. He has taught our family patience, resilience, and the importance of celebrating every milestone, no matter how small.

As his needs continue to grow, so does the equipment required to keep him safe, comfortable, and healthy. We are raising funds to purchase a wheelchair-accessible van so we can safely transport him to medical appointments, therapies, and family outings.

We also hope to obtain much-needed medical equipment that will improve his daily quality of life and help us continue providing the best care possible as a year ago he also lost the ability to walk.

Insurance does not cover a lot of the medical expenses that we need to cover for Daniel.

Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to giving him greater comfort, accessibility, and the opportunity to experience more of the world around him.

Our family and friends are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live in honor of Daniel McFadden to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a catastrophic illness. We have chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.
