Dimitrios Fillipou

Dimitrios just turned 18. And despite his young age, he has already lived through more than most people face in a lifetime.

As a little boy, Dimitrios spent years in the foster care system. Stability wasn’t something he could count on. But when he, and his little brother, came into our lives, we finally became a family. We are not perfect, but we are real and full of love, laughter, and the kind of belonging every child deserves.

Dimitrios is many things. He loves his church and being part of that community. He loves football, the discipline, the teamwork, the adrenaline that comes with it. He loves rap music, horses, and yes… girls. He has a big personality, a bold spirit, and an indomitable spirit that makes you believe he could one day stand in a courtroom and fight for others as an attorney.

He is a fighter. But right now, he is facing the biggest fight of his life: addiction.

Not foster care. Not the mental health challenges he has worked so hard to overcome. Addiction is the battle threatening to take everything from him.

We have reached a point where Dimitrios needs specialized, residential treatment, a level of care that goes far beyond what insurance will cover. This program gives him structure, therapy, and a real chance at recovery.

It is also incredibly expensive. We are asking for help because we cannot do this alone.

Every dollar raised goes directly toward keeping Dimitrios in treatment, giving him more time, more support, and more chances to heal. More chances to rediscover who he is without addiction. More chances to build the future he deserves.

We are fighting for Dimitrios. And we are not giving up.
