Eduardo Vallejo

Family and friends of Eduardo Vallejo are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a transplant. Eduardo has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.

Lalo was diagnosed with genetic heart failure earlier this February; he has been unable to work as his condition has continued to worsen. On June 13, he was admitted to the hospital, where he has remained under the care of his medical team.

As his heart continues to deteriorate, doctors have determined that his only option is an LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device) a mechanical heart pump that will help keep him alive while he waits for a heart transplant. The funds raised through this campaign will be used strictly to help cover the costs associated with his LVAD and the care required for it.

Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a difference. If you’re not able to donate, sharing his story would mean just as much.

I do want to add that his Medicaid application is in progress. We are looking at a minimum of 3 months for approval and Lalo heart isn’t strong enough to last 3 more months.
