Momma needs a new kidney!

If you’ve made it here, first….thank you. Seriously.

Life decided to throw me yet another plot twist. I desperately need a kidney transplant. Apparently my kidneys have quietly resigned. The good news is that somewhere out there is a kidney with a much stronger work ethic, and I’m holding onto hope that our paths will cross. Giving me more time- more birthdays, more holidays, more late night laughs and adventures, more memories with my husband, kids, family and friends. That’s a small glimpse into why I continue to fight.💕

The harsh reality is that a transplant comes with a mountain of expenses. I’m fundraising to help cover these medical costs that insurance sadly doesn’t, the life long anti-rejection medications that will help keep a new kidney happy, the potential expenses for a living donor if found, emergency living expenses as my amazing husband has chosen to be my caretaker during recovery. For better or worse I cant imagine facing this without you Matt. ❤️ I have chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.

If you’re able to donate financially, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you’re considering becoming a living kidney donor…there aren’t enough words to express what that kind of gift means. The selfless generosity that literally changes and saves lives!

If donating isn’t something you can do please don’t underestimate the power of sharing my story. One share could put my story in front of the person who becomes my donor. One share could inspire someone to learn about living donation. One share could save my life- or someone elses.

I’ve always believed that humor makes the hard days a little lighter, so I’m doing my best to laugh whenever I can. Some days are heavier than others, but giving up isn’t on my to-do list. I’ve still got too many people to love, too many memories to make, and far too much sass and sarcasm left to unleash on the world.🐸

Thank you for reading, for caring, for donating if you’re able, for sharing if you can, and for cheering me on from wherever you are. Every act of kindness-big or small-brings me one step closer to the second chance I’m fighting for.

From my family to yours… thank you for helping me keep writing my story.🐸💕
