Aaron is a 12-year-old boy who was born with a condition known as Bruck Syndrome, which results in brittle bones and stiff joints. Despite this, Aaron has always been a bright and energetic child. In fact, even though he was born with many broken bones, you’d never know it from his constant smile and laughter whenever he can.Aaron has experienced so much in his young life, yet he continues to exhibit remarkable resilience. He refuses to let his diagnosis define him. As an active preteen, he enjoys working out and being social. He participates in nearly everything that children his age do, and you can’t tell him he can’t try something new—he will prove you wrong.We are seeking assistance as Aaron gets older and needs a safer way to access his home. Our home has a porch, and it is becoming increasingly challenging for him to be carried in and out. He is growing heavier, and even the simple act of being picked up poses a risk of breaking his bones. It would greatly benefit Aaron to get into his wheelchair and use the chair lift we need to help him. This would provide him with unmatched independence and safety.The lift will offer him a secure way to enter and exit his home, granting him independence while significantly reducing the risk of bone fractures.
