Over eight years ago, Albert’s life changed in an instant. He was rushed to the emergency room after his hepatic vein ruptured, spending over a month in the ICU fighting for his life. That moment began his long and challenging journey living with a serious liver condition and waiting for a transplant. Through every setback, Albert has faced each day with strength, faith, and determination. One year ago, his battle became even harder when he was diagnosed with three types of cancer—colon, liver, and skin. Eight months ago, he underwent major colorectal surgery as part of his treatment. Despite the pain, uncertainty, and recovery process, he continues to stay positive and focused on his ultimate goal: receiving the liver transplant that will give him a second chance at life. For over twenty-five years, Albert has proudly owned and operated his own small construction business after beginning his career as a union laborer. He has built a reputation for hard work, integrity, and dedication—not just to his craft, but to the people around him. As a loving father of two, he has always put family first and has never hesitated to lend a hand to anyone in need. Whether it’s helping a friend, neighbor, or fellow worker, he’s always been the first to show up when someone needs support. Now, Albert is the one who needs help.
