Dear Friends and Family,

Many of you know our darling son, Alessandro Giovani Pintor. He is 4 years old and the light of our lives. One year ago Vanessa and Alessandro were in a horrific car accident and Alessandro’s life was changed forever. This once healthy, active boy is now paralyzed from the chest down. He is no longer able to do everything he used to love to do. He can not walk, run around, dance and play all kinds of sports that he used to love to play. He spent 3 months in the hospital, went to rehabilitation. With the help of many of you we went to Germany for a stem cell transplant. Alessandro continues with his rehabilitative therapy in the hopes that someday he may walk again.

Even with insurance there are many expenses that we must continue to pay out of pocket. We want to be able to take Alessandro to Project Walk to continue his rehabilitative therapy. In addition we are looking at a life time of care for Alessandro. This is a financial burden that we can not face alone.

To help offset these uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in Alessandro’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive. HelpHOPELive is a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for more than 28 years and the catastrophically injured community for more than 13 years. All donations are tax deductible and are administered by HelpHOPELive for injury-related expenses only. Please consider a making a contribution today.
