Alex Perry

On March 24, 1964, Alex Perry was born premature at six months. Alex was a beautiful happy baby but something was different. Alex was born with Cerebral Palsy. As a child he endured multiple physical change and under went countless sessions of physical, occupational and speech therapy.

As an adult Alex has always been a volunteer in the community. Alex was deeply involved in the church with planning activities and educating others about disabilities. Alex was also a motivational speaker advocating for those with disabilities. He was president of a non profit, on several boards one included Disability Action Center now known as ABLE. One day Alex had a major fall that resulted in spinal damage. Due to his fall, Alex’s mobility is limited. Alex still suffers from pain and spasms, he continues with physical therapy sessions. Alex also fell into a depressive state with not being able to go out into the community.

Time has pasted, Alex has a caregiver and is doing well. He is ready to get back out into the community and do what he lives best, advocating for people with disabilities. In order to get back out Alex needs a wheelchair van. Some community wheelchair vans are not setup for power wheelchairs and they are unreliable for getting Alex to speaking engagement.

Alex needs your support and donations as he is unable to propel a manual wheelchair. Alex is extremely excited and ready to get back out into the community.
