Family and friends of Andrew Rossi are raising money to pay for uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.

I want to thank everyone ahead of time for assisting me with this huge medical financing. There comes a time when you have to swallow your pride and ask for help so here I am. I am originally from the Greater Boston area, growing up in Whitman MA, home of the Toll House Cookie!. I graduated from nursing school back in 1974, and within the past ten yrs I graduated with a BS from Salem State University (BS in Criminal Justice) and had been accepted to Central CT State Univ, for a MS in Criminology. My lungs have taken a beating over the years and being at work as a med/surg nurse was no exception. It was here after the third exposure to chemical fumes from floor wax stripper I had to have my trachea and bronchi rebuild, the result was an awesome firm airway but somehow MRSA got to my lungs and put holes through my lungs. I moved to Akron/Cleveland to pursue for a lung transplant and I am almost at the listing stage, it all looks so good. So anyone who can donate, I will be forever grateful. Thanks!
