Angel Becton

Angel’s story is nothing short of miraculous. Despite enduring multiple strokes, a heart attack, and ongoing health challenges, she continues to fight each day with incredible strength and unwavering faith.

Before the age of 40, Angel suffered her first series of strokes in 2014. Through determination and therapy, she regained much of her strength and was able to return to work and live independently. But her journey didn’t stop there. In the years that followed, she experienced additional strokes, each one bringing new challenges—affecting her mobility, speech, and vision.

In 2018, Angel suffered another stroke along with a major heart attack, requiring triple bypass surgery. During the procedure, she experienced yet another stroke that left her unable to speak for 2 years. Still, she fought her way back—regaining strength and slowly regaining her voice.

In 2023, Angel suffered a devastating stroke that left her paralyzed on her left side. Today, she is largely wheelchair-dependent and requires assistance with nearly all daily activities.

After spending six months in a nursing home where she experienced neglect, Angel was able to return home with the help of loved ones. However, in September 2025, she lost her Medicaid benefits and the daily care she depended on. Now living on disability income alone, she struggles to afford even basic necessities while still needing full-time assistance.

Despite everything, Angel remains a light to those around her. Angel has been a Christian for most of her adult life, but her faith deepened profoundly four years ago when she was baptized and fully committed her life to Christ. Her journey has been incredibly difficult, yet she never stops giving thanks for the small victories. She celebrates each step forward and continues to choose hope, faith, and gratitude every single day.
