Family and friends of Angel Martz are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a Catastrophic Illness. Angel has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.

A Van for Angel: Continuing a Miracle’s Journey

From the time he was born, Angel has defied the odds. Diagnosed with complications from IUGR which is an in uterine growth restriction, doctors predicted only his twin would survive. But at just 29 weeks and 2 days, Angel arrived, weighing in at 1lb 12ozs and his twin Alex at 2lbs 3.6 ozs Angel arrived a tiny fighter proving everyone wrong.

Now five years old, Angel continues to inspire us with his resilience. He lives with cerebral palsy, chronic kidney disease currently late stage three soon to be on the donor list ROPM plus disease in his eyes and a host of other challenges, despite everything Angel faces each day with an incredible spirit.

Though he relies on a wheelchair and other equipment for mobility our greatest wishes to give Angel the freedom and accessibility. He deserves a wheelchair accessible van would transform his life, allowing him to easily attend. Vital medical appointments, experience the world around him and simply enjoy every day family outings.

We’ve been incredibly grateful to receive a $5000 grant towards the van, but even the most affordable option start at $20,000 with fixed income going to essential bills. This remaining cost is a significant hurdle. We are reaching out to you our community to help us close this gap your donation no matter the size will directly contribute to giving Angel the gift of mobility and independence.
