Anthony Bondi

Tony Bondi is a 52-year-old man who is very ill. Tony was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. This is a disease in which the body creates scar tissue within the lungs and makes it impossible to breathe. Tony’s condition has worsened to the point that he has now been placed on the lung transplantation list for an organ donor. There is no cure for the disease and having a lung transplant is Tony’s only hope for survival

Tony is best known for his sense of humor and his generous heart. He’s always the life of the party and the first one to give you the shirt off his back. Tony is eagerly looking forward to spending many more years with his loving wife, daughters and be there when his daughters get married and to hold his future grandchildren.

After many years of helping others, Tony needs our help. Transplants are lifesaving but financially draining. Even with insurance there are many expenses that must be covered out of pocket. Some of these are co-pays, deductibles, lab fees, transportation to and from the transplant center. In addition, Tony will be on a life-time of expensive anti-rejection medications.
