Aubrey Flaherty

Aubrey has been very connected to her community since her move to the area. She has worked with children the whole time, as Education Coordinator for Galveston Naval Museum for over half a decade, and coaching fitness at Carolyn Ehman Dance Academy for over 4 years as a gymnastics instructor. Aside from tending bar at the local pubs, Aubrey also just completed her Associate Degree in Emergency Medicine, completing her Paramedic course on her way to licensure.

In March, Aubrey was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She has a large, inoperable tumor that has affected a nearby lymph node, which suggests metastatic possibility. Due to the nature of her illness, immediate chemotherapy and radiation is required, against all her hopes and wishes.
