Barbara Rains

Barbara Jean Steenblock Rains was diagnosed with Progressive MS (Multiple Sclerosis) at 27. She has struggled and fought a long time to retain her independence and mobility throughout the journey of having this debilitating disease. In the last decade, besides the immense pain, the disease has taken away her ability to drive and do very basic things we all take for granted every day. It has been very difficult watching our Mom give up her pride as this disease continues to take from her.

Through it all she remains positive and chooses to focus on her faith and the things she can do, not what’s been taken from her. We are not ready for her to be under full time care or in a nursing home, and neither is she! That is why we need everyone’s help. Through Stem Cell Therapy and Procedures at StemGenex in San Diego, CA we are praying that Barbara will add years of mobility to her life and possibly even gain some mobility in her right leg which is currently useless. More than half of the recipients of these procedures see positive results, with some MS patients seeing huge results and gains in mobility. These treatments are NOT covered by her insurance.

To help offset such expenses, a fundraising campaign in Barbara’s honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years.
