Keep Joy Alive!

Joy: a feeling of great hope and happiness. In October of 2017, I was diagnosed with stage four kidney failure. I am now waiting for a kidney transplant at UAB in Birmingham. Even so, I know there is great joy in the Lord! I am trusting Him; but need your help.

Someone gave me this adorable dog when I became single, and Buster Brown has brought joy to my life for 10 years now. I like to bring joy to others’ lives through my work in human resources. I love to help develop others’ career paths, provide critical training, and encourage them to reach their goals. I’m a leader in ladies ministry at my church and I love to help women. I also enjoy working with children as a Junior Achievement life skills instructor, teaching the students to understand business and the economy with hands-on activities.

If one of my friends or relatives is able to donate a kidney, I will be having the surgery this fall.
I’m asking everyone first and foremost for their prayers.

Please prayerfully consider joining my fundraising effort through the nonprofit Help Hope Live. Even though I have health insurance, there are critical medical expenses that are not covered. Examples include lodging for me and a caregiver for at least three weeks after the surgery (doctor visits are necessary at UAB), co-pays, medical bills and anti-rejection medication.

I want to recapture my ability to be a blessing to those around me, bringing joy by using my strengths and answering the call God has on my life. I know that with your financial support and prayers, that is possible.
