BILL NEEDS OUR SUPPORT

As many of you know, my husband, Bill Sheridan received a heart transplant in August 2003. We shouldered all of his medical expenses ourselves and every day I thank God that Bill is still here to enjoy his family and friends. Now Bill needs a kidney transplant and is currently receiving dialysis three days a week. He eagerly awaits his transplant as he is eager to resume of all of his normal activities.

Although transplants are life-saving they are financially draining. Since Bill’s 2003 transplant medical costs have risen and even with insurance, he will face many uninsured transplant-related expenses such as: co-pays and deductibles, doctor visits and the costly anti-rejection medications that he will need to take for the rest of his life.

To help offset such expenses, a fundraising campaign in Bill’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the South-Atlantic Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only.
