Billy Jones

Please allow me the opportunity to say a few words about my brother, Billy Jones, and why he is a deserving candidate for a liver transplant.

We lost our father when we were children. Despite the fact that Billy was the youngest, it was his strength of character and steadfastness, throughout the ensuing years, that made the loss more bearable. I am a single mom with a house of my own. I can always count on my brother to help me with the needs of my home, from gutters to grass, he always pitches in. And, he does so without complaint. He is there as a friend and a confidant, providing physical and emotional support to our entire family.

He raised two wonderful children who excel in school and in life. Despite being divorced, and having an ex-wife with emotional needs, he has never let his children down when it comes to guidance and financial support. He always steps up to the plate, and is the rock they lean on.

If there is any doubt as to the importance of Billy in my, and our family’s lives, consider that my brother Chris, is willing to take on the dangers of liver donation to ensure Billy’s survival. It is with sincerity that I beg you to allow this operation to proceed in the quickest manner possible.

After years of helping everyone, including myself and my children, Billy is now the one who needs our help. His brother Chris Jones is approved to be a living donor for Billy. Funding for the transplant to take place is extremely expensive – as there are so many medical costs not covered by insurance (his co-pays, deductibles, clinic visits and medications he’ll need to take for the rest of his life). This is adding up to more than Billy can handle alone.
