Billy Ruhnke

Hello family and friends – 19 years ago Billy was just starting his adult life when both his kidneys failed. Without hesitation, his amazing sister (Cindy Stoeckmann) donated her kidney to him. Billy has taken great care of his working kidney throughout these years but unfortunately, a perfect match kidney lasts an average of 20 years after transplant.

Last year in July, Billy’s kidney function started to decline and he became very ill. He is currently on dialysis every night while waiting patiently for his second kidney transplant. It takes an average of 7 years on the waiting list for a cadaver kidney.

As we prepared for this new reality, an angel on earth was preparing to surprise Billy. Abby Knox (his sister-in-law) researched what tests needed to be done and found out she’s a match! Words cant describe how grateful we are, so loved ❤️

We are raising money for expenses associated with the transplant in August. Billy and Liz will need to stay close by the transplant center for 2 months.
