LET’S HELP BONE’T FIGHT HARD AND BREATHE EASY!!

Family and friends of Bonet Tobias are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live in my honor to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.

I WAS FIRST DIAGNOSED WITH PULMONARY FIBROSIS IN OCTOBER OF 2013. IT HAS BEEN AN UPHILL BATTLE. I first discovered one evening after a family gathering I was having problems breathing; my husband came and found me short of breath, with his quick thinking we went to the hospital.

Once we made it to the hospital the doctor told me I made it in time and that I was near death, to be honest I didn’t really realize the severity of my diagnosis until late 2019. Even facing this obstacle I still managed to go to college and obtain degrees in Medical Assistant and Medical Coding. I am now 31 years old and I didn’t get to enjoy my youth because of this disease, this is not only to help me breath better but to bring awareness to this disease and how it can affect people of all ages.
