Brandon Kingsmore

Family and friends of Brandon Kingsmore are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund a new specialized wheelchair accessible van.

If you know Brandon, then you know he hates to sit at home. He loves to travel to visit his family in Charlotte, NC. He regularly is seen in Washington DC and Harrisburg PA advocating for disability rights, Medicaid, and access to home and community-based services. He enjoys performing with local Improv Comedy groups in the Lehigh Valley and has been working on a stand-up routine. He has 2 beautiful nieces that he loves going to the park with and giving them rides on the back of his wheelchair. He attends local comedy performances and travels to Philadelphia for shows as well.

Recently, Brandon has been slowed down by no fault of his own. His wheelchair accessible van that he relied on for all of his daily activities, shopping, and doctor appointments has been getting older and finally is unable to carry him to where he needs to be. Grace, as he named his van, was a loyal member of his team, but she’s old and tired and its time for something new. Unfortunately, vans are not easy to come by and when you’re on a fixed income its even harder.

That’s where we come in! Brandon is asking his family and friends to help raise funds so that he can get back out doing what he loves. Any amount you are willing to contribute to get him to his goal would be a step toward his continued independence and involvement in his local community.

Brandon has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.
