Brian Cooper

Brian is a quadriplegic due to a spinal cord injury in his cervical region; complete loss of function of his legs due to paralysis, partial paralysis in both arms, along with loss of sensation and control over other bodily functions. His handicapped accessible van is his lifeline to his independent functioning to attend his doctor appointments, pharmacy, grocery store, church, activities, etc…He is in desperate need of a reliable van & his wheelchair needs an EZ lock system in the handicap van to lock in his chair.

Brian is resilient and has progressed over the years since his injury. He was sent to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA, for spinal & brain injuries for rehabilitation, physical therapy, etc… What may have made others simply give up, Brian has rallied to make the best of his situation and life. He lives on his own, in his own home. Being able to have control in his life means the world to him, as it would anyone. He has fought and worked hard to be able use his hands to drive a handicapped accessible van and with your assistance, will be able to continue with his driving and independence. Unfortunately, he has been home-bound for months due to his unreliable and older van that he can no longer trust to safely get him to his appointments and the like.

Donations of any amount would be a blessing to get Brian back on the road, out of his house and allowing him to regain his independence again to meet his daily living needs. We are asking friends, family, companies, and anyone who feels it upon their heart to join us in fundraising for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to help with this critical expense to help Brian regain his independence.
