Briana Marroquin es una niña amable y dulce de 6 años. Como todos los niños, tiene una gran personalidad y muchas facetas diferentes. Le encantan los animales, a veces es sociable, otras son introvertida. Puede tener mal genio, pero es fuerte y valiente. Le gusta pintar y escribir en su tiempo libre.

Briana Marroquin is she is a kind and sweet child who is 6 years old. Like every other child, she has a huge personality and many different sides. She loves animals, sometimes she is social, others she is introverted. She can have a temper but is strong and brave. She likes to paint and write in her free time.

Cuando Briana nació, no notamos nada diferente. Era como cualquier otra niña. Cuando creció, alrededor de 1,5-2 años, nos dimos cuenta de que estaba perdiendo la audición. Aprendió a decir sus primeras palabras, pero al cabo de un tiempo dejó de progresar y tardó mucho en aprender más palabras. A los 3 años, seguía sin utilizar los audífonos y sólo respondía a lo que le decían si estaban cerca y no había ruidos ambientales que la distrajeran.

Briana when she was born, we didn’t notice anything different. She was just like any other child. As she grew up, around 1.5-2 years old, we noticed that she was losing her hearing. She learned to say her first words but after a while, she stopped making any progress and it took her a long time to learn more words. When she was 3 years old, she still did not use her hearing aids she would only respond to what people said to her if they were close and there were no ambient noises to distract her.

Estaba aprendiendo a comunicarse, pero lentamente. A los 4 años le pusieron los audífonos y eso mejoró su audición, pero según los médicos no oye ni el 50 por ciento y en grupo oye menos.

She was learning to communicate but slowly. When she was 4 years old, her hearing aids were placed and that improved her hearing but according to the doctors she does not hear even 50 percent and in a group she hears less.
