Hello friends and family !!!
My name is Brianna Hodges and I am 28 years old and in need of a double lung transplant.

I suffer from two conditions called BPD ( Broncho-pulmonary Dysplasia), and Pulmonary Hypertension. The only cure for these conditions is a double lung transplant. Over the years I have been ‘stable’ enough to go through life not needing the surgery. But unfortunately, my diseases are progressive and it has gotten to the point where doctors agreed, now is the time. God has blessed me with 28 years of life and I am so grateful for that.

Isaiah 41:13…For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.

I will be having my transplant at UPMC in Pittsburgh. Unfortunately, it is a very expensive process to go through. Between gas, lodging, food, and parking fees. and other expenses …I need some help. The money that is donated will go to myself and my caregivers while I heal from the surgery. After the transplant, I am required to live in Pittsburgh for 3 months while I heal and have weekly appointments. I will be staying at the UPMC family house after I am released from the hospital. UPMC Family House is $2,820 a month + $7 a day parking. I will have to stay 3 months after the transplant so that will total up to $8,460. Also, around $600 for parking.

Other transplant-related expenses are the anti-rejection meds, which I will be on for life. I will also have post-op unexpected costs that I will not know until I need them.
