Hello, my name is Brittany Gillespie. In December 2017, I was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease. By the time I discovered the disease, 50% of my kidney function was gone. I have seen countless family members suffer and die from this disease, so I have fought really hard over the years to preserve my kidney function.

Unfortunately, this disease does not have a cure and treatment is minimal. In January of this year I was informed that I had reached chronic kidney disease stage 4 and that I would need a new kidney. This was an emotional blow, but I refuse to give up.

I began the transplant process at UNC- Chapel Hill Medical Center and I will be placing referrals all around the country to get on as many lists as possible in hopes of getting a new kidney before my kidneys completely fail and I am placed on dialysis.

I created this page to ask for financial assistance with the transplant process. I would appreciate anything you are willing to give.
