Help Cadence and Adaline Gain Greater Independence

In April 2021, our daughters, Cadence and Adaline, were diagnosed with an ultra-rare genetic condition called MSTO1-related disorder. This disorder affects their muscle strength, balance, and coordination, making it difficult for them to walk and keep up with other children their age.

While most children can take mobility for granted, every step is a challenge for our girls. Yet despite the obstacles they face, Cadence and Adaline meet each day with incredible courage, determination, and joy. Their smiles are contagious, their laughter fills our home, and they inspire everyone who meets them.

As their momma, I am committed to helping them reach their fullest potential. The encouraging news is that there is hope. Through ongoing therapies, specialized equipment, and hard work, these girls continue to make progress toward greater independence and mobility.

As a family of seven with five young children—Auddie (11), Cadence (8), Adaline (7), Ariel (5), and Gavon (4)—we work hard every day to provide the support and opportunities our girls need. Thanks to the incredible generosity of friends, family, and supporters, we successfully completed the first phase of our journey by purchasing an accessible van and installing a wheelchair lift. Those gifts have been life-changing for our family.

Now we are beginning Phase Two.

We are raising funds for important home accessibility renovations and adaptive equipment that will help Cadence and Adaline continue building strength, confidence, and independence. Donations will help provide:

• Home modifications that make daily life safer and more accessible • Specialized exercise and therapy equipment to strengthen muscles and support mobility goals • An adaptive outdoor play area with wheelchair-friendly surfaces so the girls can enjoy playing outside more freely and safely • Other uninsured medical and mobility-related expenses associated with their condition

For Cadence and Adaline, these improvements are more than conveniences—they are opportunities. Opportunities to play, explore, learn, grow, and participate more fully in the world around them.
