Hello, my name is Carmen Maggio-Price I am 32 years old. I was diagnosed with Lupus at age 12 and it has been a battle ever since.

Lupus has caused me to go through many health complications, including a stroke, cytoxan, heart conditions and now complete renal failure. I have been blessed to be placed on the transplant list. I have also been informed by my pre- transplant team the costly expenses of post-transplant care.

This includes, room and board for at least one month since I am listed out of my own state, travel cost thereafter for monthly doctor visits for at least one year, and the anti-rejection medications that are crucial for recovery and sustaining my life. I will not know what my insurance will or will not cover until after my surgery. I appreciate all donations from the bottom of my heart as I embark upon this life changing journey.
