Our mother Carolyn needs your genuine support during these critical times.

Carolyn has unfortunately been diagnosed and battling a kidney disease for the past 10 years. Each day is becoming more of a challenge for her to sustain energy and a healthy lifestyle as a loving wife of over 30 years, mother of four, along with three grandchildren.

Even-though it has been a long ongoing battle, the high possibility of her attaining a kidney transplant fairly soon is a light for our family at the end of a tunnel. We’re asking family, friends and colleges to join us in fundraising for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to help with critical expenses Carolyn will endure immediately after surgery, including the cost of lodging near the transplant center where she is required to stay for a minimum of 30 days following her discharge.

If you’re reading this you should know our mother, Carolyn, has always been the type of person to serve and put others first before her own issues on a daily basis. Her positive outlook on life has never let her health challenges get in the way of helping others. In subsequent years she has been one of the head volunteers for the Kidney Awareness Foundation in order to help people avoid the circumstances she is currently facing herself. Her own kidney is no longer functioning at a rate to sustain the healthy life she deserves. Carolyn desperately needs our help for this upcoming fight.

As a Human Resource Specialist for the city of Boston for twenty-two years, Carolyn’s health insurance only covers selective areas of expenses. Surprisingly many transplant operations are not covered, such as monthly anti-rejection medications she will need to take for the life of her new kidney. Carolyn has been informed to anticipate upwards of $5000 per month just for medications alone.

Donations to Help Hope Live can help ease the financial burden of a transplant and allow Carolyn to focus on a healthy, long, Boston strong life. Please help our mother stay in our lives for that much longer. This is a rare instance where your donation can quite actually buy invaluable time, our family would be so grateful to have more time with our mother.
