Cecilia Goah

Cecilia has been on hemodialysis for five years and needs a kidney transplant.

Her family lives in Liberia and she has been in this country without them since 2005. Cecilia feels isolated with not much support. She is unable to visit any of her family because she needs dialysis to survive, and this is not available in Liberia.

Cecilia’s medical insurance will only cover 80% of the surgery costs. She will need to pay for the remaining 20% as well as for any medications that she will need to make sure that her body accepts her new kidney.
