Selena Winberry

On August 3rd, 2024, our daughter, Selena Marie Winberry, was in a tragic car accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down and with very limited use of her arms and hands.

Selena was a young woman full of promise and dreams. Today, she faces challenges most of us could never imagine—yet she continues to hold on to hope, striving for as normal a life as possible.

As her mother, I work every day, with the help of her sisters and family members, to care for her. The daily and nightly routines take a toll on everyone involved, but through it all, we remain deeply grateful that Selena is still here with us.

One of the hardest challenges we face is simply being able to transport her. Doctor’s visits, therapy appointments, or even something as simple as taking her shopping or outside to feel the sunshine have become almost impossible without the right kind of vehicle.

Our dream is to give Selena back some of the freedom and joy that so many of us take for granted. With the help of kind and generous hearts, we are raising funds to purchase a wheelchair-accessible van. This would allow us not only to meet her medical needs but also to give her the gift of being part of everyday life again.
