Chris Pinkston

Chris Pinkston 36 years old was raised and lives in Texas. He has worked in the restaurant business, most recently in management. He enjoys playing football, basketball and most things outdoors. He is a loving son, brother and good friend to many. However, due to his poor health, he has now been forced to stop working and is not able to do much of what he has always enjoyed.

Chris was born with Alport Syndrome, a genetic rare kidney disease. He battled this disease until he was 23 years old, was in end stage kidney failure and received a life-saving kidney transplant. Unfortunately, the kidney has failed and he is again on dialysis. His doctors at Baylor All Saints Medical Center at Fort Worth have told him that he is in need of another life-saving kidney transplant.

Funding this surgery is a monumental task since there are so many uninsured transplant-related expenses. Some of these are co-pays, deductibles, travel to and from the transplant center and relocation at the time of transplant. In addition Chris will be on a life-time of anti-rejection medications. This is where your help and support is desperately needed.

In order to ease the financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Chris’ honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for 30 years.
