I am happily married with 3 wonderful kids. However in 2003 I had a viral infection that attacked my heart. I always knew this day may come, but did not think it would be so soon. Last year my heart failed. I had to get a Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) implanted, which is basically a machine that pumps my blood thru my body. I was listed for heart transplant in July 2018 and am currently on the waiting list with many others.
