On November 28, 2021, Dan was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

The news came shortly after Dan and his wife Giselle returned from their honeymoon. Their lives were turned upside down after getting married and then receiving the devastating news in the same month. Chemotherapy started immediately followed by radiation therapy, and then surgery that removed Dan’s spleen and a portion of his pancreas. Shortly after the surgery, another tumor was found in Dan’s liver.

Dan remains in good spirits and is confident he can make it through treatment and come out the other end 100% healthy. Giselle has been instrumental in his treatment by escorting him to-and-from the hospital on a weekly basis and taking care of the household when Dan is too sick or hospitalized. However, as you can imagine, the costs of treatment and recovery are extreme. Even with insurance, the couple is facing mounting out-of-pocket expenses and donations to Help Hope Live can help with the financial burden.
