Please Help! Daniel Needs A Liver Transplant

Twenty years ago Daniel was diagnosed with autoimmune liver disease which is a condition where a person’s body rejects their own liver. There is no cure for this and it results in Daniel being very tired all of the time and having no energy. His only hope to live a long and healthy life is a liver transplant.

Daniel is a wonderful husband, father, and uncle. He is one that will lend a helping hand whenever he can. Our family includes challenges other than Daniel’s because I have Type 1 diabetes and our child has autism.

Daniel’s health has been declining quickly to the point that he has been placed on the liver transplant list. The good news is that doctors have determined that he is an excellent candidate for this procedure. The bad news is that we will be responsible for the transplant which roughly costs about $500,000 dollars and then after the transplant we will be responsible for many of the out-of-pocket expenses including clinic follow-up visits and lifelong anti-rejection medications that could total hundreds of dollars a month.
