Dan Needs Your Help!

Dan Martin recently suffered a life-changing catastrophic heart attack. After many resuscitation efforts, Dan was left with brain injury from being without oxygen for at least ten minutes. Initially given a 1% chance of survival, miraculously, he is alive. Dan has regained his speech and ability to walk and his sense of humor is intact. He is experiencing challenges with his memory and it is uncertain if or when all of his memory will return. Currently, Dan is rehabilitating at a friend’s home. As you can imagine, the care he needs is very expensive, which is why we need your help.

Dan was raised in Yarmouth, MA – Cape Cod where his many passions flourished. He is father to Ryan Pagano and Elizabeth Martin, brother of David Martin, Dennis Martin, Douglas Martin, and Trish Martin. He has been a life-long salesman beginning as a waiter and valet for The Roadhouse Café; owner Dave Colombo has treated him like a brother since their friendship began in grammar school. Dan coached Brockton High School Football alongside his great friend, Bob O’Neill for many years. Vern Gibson has been a mentor and employer to Dan in financial services. His cousin Karen and her husband Rick Russell lived and worked with Dan. With the help of his brother Douglas and numerous supporters, most recently, Dan owned Shoreline House Washing. Although not a wealthy man monetarily, Dan is rich with love from friends and family. So many, we regret not being able to mention all of them.

Dan is motivated and ready for intensive therapy so he can recover from this catastrophic illness and return to doing the activities he loves, and most of all, being able to be involved with his children. In addition to help with therapy costs, when Dan is able to return home, he will need private nursing care for an undetermined amount of time.
