Hello! I’m Danielle but I go by DD! I was born with a rare chronic disease called Autoimmune hepatitis, found through a random blood donation in high school. This disease tells the immune system that the liver is something foreign and actively works to attack and damage it. Overtime, the damage increases to the point of cirrhosis, then the final option- transplant. I was gifted my new liver one day after my birthday on January 28th and while there have been some bumps here and there I’m so incredibly grateful!

I’m raising money to help with what insurance won’t cover for such a pricey procedure. This includes hospital costs, medications and co-pays among others. This will also assist financially with post-care, which is required 24/7 by the hospital. My mom has traveled from Pennsylvania to Utah to be this post- transplant caretaker, taking no income from her jobs back at home.
