Danny Lechner

Dear Family and Friends,

Many of you know Danny Lechner. He is the proud father of Tammy, Stacy and Scott, stepfather to Joey, Cara and Jordan, grandfather of four, son, brother uncle and good friend to many. I know him as the love of my life. You may know Danny from college at Bloomsburg, a member of the Sigma lota Omega (SIO) fraternity, the Lower Nazareth Rod and Gun Club, the Bethlehem City Dart League, from years of his coaching various youth sports or from the home building and construction industry.

Over three years ago Danny was diagnosed with liver disease. He now has liver cancer and his doctors at the University of Pennsylvania have told us that he is desperately in need of a life-saving liver transplant. He is no longer able to work, be involved in the community or do many of the things he was always been able to do.

Not only is a transplant life-saving, it is also very expensive. Even with insurance there are many expenses that must be covered out of pocket. Some of these are co-pays, deductibles, and travel to and from the transplant hospital. In addition, Danny will be on a life-time of expensive anti-rejection medications. This is where your help is needed.

A fundraising campaign in Danny’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for 30 years.
