Dario has been battling Type II Diabetes for more than 25 years, but it is finally taking its toll. He began losing kidney function about 10 years ago. Though he followed the directions of his medical team, in 3 short years he found himself attached to a dialysis machine 4 hours a day, 3 days a week. He also began to fall victim to a very common diabetes complication, lack of circulation to his feet.
With the help of an excellent vascular surgeon he only lost half of his left foot. After a year of healing and following the instructions of a new transplant team, he is finally back on the list to receive a kidney. But it won’t happen without help from you. The medications are very expensive and are not covered by his insurance. We simply don’t have the funds for the ones he will require after his new kidney is implanted.
You are his lifeline. Without your help he cannot receive a kidney and will continue to live tied to a dialysis machine. He needs you.
