Dario Leos

Family and friends of Dario Leos are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live pay for hospital bills and medical expenses resulting from his lung transplant procedure. Dario has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses. Dario Leos is a 66 year-old father of two. A hard worker, he has spent his life working respectable jobs in maintenance and construction to provide for his family. In September 2023, Dario was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. It is a chronic lung disease that causes irreversible scarring to the lungs that will be fatal without a transplant procedure. He has successfully undergone a double lung transplant procedure with the Baylor St. Luke hospital in Houston in order to prolong his life regain the ability to live and travel freely without the need of oxygen tanks and a breathing machine. With a reinvigorated spirit, he hopes to spend more time with his family. He is thankful to all who have helped him recover so far. Transplant procedures are very expensive, but life saving. Due to his long stay at the hospital, he has occurred a high volume of medical expenses that he cannot repay on his own. As a retiree, he only relies on his monthly check to cover bills for his house and groceries.
