Hello, I just celebrated my 35th birthday. I celebrated because I am alive and got to spend quality time with my two kids! I celebrated because my first and only donor to step forward was a complete match! I celebrated because I remain Hopeful and look forward to Live a long life; with your Help anything is possible!

I have complete kidney failure and undergo dialysis everyday. I have been living this way since March of 2018. My body began going through physical changes last month and the pain of dialysis got worse.

While I live in Florida, I was referred to Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital in Texas. When I met with the doctors in January of this year I was informed that IF they were to perform the surgery I would need to stay within a reasonable commuting distance for at least the first 6-months, AND have a caretaker. In addition to that, I would need to be seen at the hospital in Texas at set intervals over a two year period following the transplant.

Leaving my job, housing, and kids to make a temporary move is an expensive undertaking. But, I need this transplant in order to extend my life, improve its quality, and be there to do more for and with my kids! Between work and dialysis there really is no true quality of life or quality time with my kids, as I am too drained and exhausted – often falling asleep in the middle of activities regardless how hard I try to stay awake. It’s a hard reality, but right now my kids are looking forward to what is to come after the transplant and that is also were I want to focus. I need and am asking for your help to alleviate some burdens and stress as I step out on faith. With this move and impending surgery (scheduled for September 2019) there are so many variables and unknowns, and your contributions will make a world of difference.
