Ten years ago, I was in the prime of my life. I had a great career, and my five children were all successful and beginning to have kids of their own.
This should have been a great time for me and my wife Melissa.

July 5th of 2013 changed everything however as I suddenly became very ill.
Very quickly the doctors told me I was in end stage liver failure, and I would need a liver transplant in order to survive.

Finally, after countless hospitalizations, procedures, surgeries and close calls. It is time for the life-saving transplant.

While we do have insurance for direct medical expenses, there is a great deal that is not covered. These expenses are very costly and a lot to keep up with.

The primary expense is for caregivers as I am required to remain in Salt Lake City with a caregiver for ninety days after transplant. These costs include transportation, lodging etc.

My family and friends are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live in my honor to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
