Hello Friends and Family, my Name is Dave. I am a father of 4 with 2 grandchildren, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. I am happily married for the 2nd time. and have a good life.

I have always taken care of my family first before myself. I feel that’s what dads do best. I am at the young age of 51, and have a lot more love and compassion to give to this world. Whether it’s cracking lots of jokes or consoling a friend who is having a bad day. I have endured type 1 diabetes for 38 years now, and it has taken its toll on my body and my family. I have been on Dialysis for 3 years now, after being diagnosed with stage 5 renal failure. Now it’s come to the part of this journey where I will be receiving a kidney and a Pancreas transplant. Family and friends of Dave Roberts are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a Transplant. dave has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax-deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.

Additional information: We have to wait an unknown amount of time for the transplant to occur. Someone with the same blood type and characteristics has to pass away and bless us wth that gift. After the transplant occurs, we have to stay in a “hospital hotel” on campus for approximately two months to be available for daily check-ups. The cost of this portion of our medical journey will be substantial, and by donating to this fund, every cent of your contribution will be used solely for the accrued medical expenses. if you are not comfortable donating to this fund, we also have a “GoFundMe” account solely for this reason.
