My husband David greatly needs your help.

He has non- alcoholic cirrhosis liver disease and needs a liver transplant to survive. He is a loving and devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He has always worked hard to support his family. Because of his illness, he can no longer work or do daily activities that we all take for granted, such as cooking a meal, going for a walk or spending the day with our grandchildren.

My income is not enough to support us but I am working fulI-time and doing the best I can. Since he has had to quit working, our medical benefits under COBRA take over half of our monthly income. We are now swamped with medical bills that we cannot pay . We are applying for disability, but the process takes over 6 months before we can expect to receive any benefits.

There will be increased financial burdens after the transplant as well. The recovery period will take many months and he will need someone to care for him. I will have to continue to work to support us. He is only 60 years old so he doesn’t qualify for Medicare benefits. I will have to pay for a caregiver for him and there will also be “after transplant” expenses that will not be covered by our insurance .

Any financial gifts you can spare may not only save my husband’s life and keep us from losing our home, but hopefully encourage your heart to know you were able to make a difference in helping saving someone’s life.

Because of your help David can continue to have a bright future enjoying time with his family and being a part of his grandchildren and great grandchildren’s lives. David and I would be so forever grateful, and we would look for opportunities in the future where we can “pay it forward” in hopes to be a blessing to someone else in need.
