Hi, my name is David, and I’m reaching out with a hopeful heart and a humble request.

After years of battling serious health issues, I now face the most critical challenge of my life: I need a kidney and pancreas transplant to survive.

My Story

For most of life, I’ve been managing type 1 diabetes, which has taken a serious toll on my body. I received a pancreas transplant in 2004, and miraculously it survived until two years ago. Now, my kidneys have also failed. The complications of type 1 diabetes worsened until they can no longer function on their own. I’m now living with end-stage renal disease (ESRD), requiring dialysis treatments just to stay alive.

I am now pursuing a kidney and pancreas transplant, which together offer the chance not only to end dialysis—but also to eliminate my dependence on insulin. This transplant would be nothing short of a miracle—a new beginning.

Why I Need Help

The expenses for a double transplant are overwhelming. They include:

Pre- and post-transplant medications (some costing thousands per month)

Frequent lab work and follow-up visits

Travel and temporary lodging near the transplant center

Loss of income during recovery
