David Stay

God has been leading the Stays on quite a journey these past 6 years. David was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer June 30, 2017. Since, the family has endured chemotherapy, five surgeries, including four liver resections, and additional liver-directed therapies including microwave ablation and radiation while also continuing to live a life of great joy in Christ.

David’s been treated locally at both Methodist and Abbott Northwestern Hospitals, at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and at MD Anderson in Houston, TX, before landing at the Cleveland (OH) Clinic’s Liver Transplantation Program.

Family and friends of David Stay are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation. The aim is a cure of David’s disease, Lord willing.

David has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors.
