David Needs Your Help!

David Vintinner is a 58-year-old man who is very ill. After years of struggling with acute COPD, a double lung transplant is his only chance for survival. We’re asking family and friends to join us in fundraising for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to help with critical transplant-related expenses.

Since being diagnosed with this chronic lung disease, David has dedicated himself to being as healthy as possible, including quitting smoking. Despite all his efforts, he still struggles with everyday health issues. He desperately wants this transplant so he can spend the rest of his life with his loved ones. He can’t wait to get outside and enjoy life with his family and friends like he did before getting sick.

Transplants are life-saving, but financially draining. Even with health insurance, many transplant expenses are not covered. In addition to medical and pharmaceutical costs, David will face significant travel and lodging expenses as he lives in Maine but his transplant will take place in Boston. This present a challenge that David and his family cannot meet alone.
