Hello friends and family! Some of you might know me, others might not be so familiar. So here is a bit of my story -I was in a car accident on November 20th, of 2022. The accident left me paralyzed from the waist down. I became a Complete T7 paraplegic at 20 years of age. From the beginning, I was very fortunate to have insurance, and God through it all. But throughout the past year, I have been denied multiple times for medical insurance and it has been a struggle paying for everything that I need to survive off my disability. With your help in this fundraiser, one of my other goals is to be able to receive KAFO’s for my legs. KAFO’s are medical devices (leg braces) that help me sustain my weight and allow me to stand, most importantly, to reach my daily goals such as tasks around the house. It will also give me more independence, as I currently struggle with an inaccesible home. These devices are usually a high price due to it having to be customized to me, but once I have received them, I will be able to have so much freedom.I would love for us to all come together and pray for those around me and myself.
