Dionne Needs Your Help

Early 2016, Dionne Simone Taylor was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). IPF is a pulmonary disease which causes the lungs to become scarred/stiffened. Dionne struggles with shortness of breath, is on continuous oxygen, and has endured countless struggles over the past year.

Dionne has been approved for a bi-lateral lung transplant at Tampa General Hospital. This procedure is the only option for Dionne to have a “breath-filled” life. Prayerfully, we hope that donor lungs will become available in the near future.

Transplantation is life-saving, but financially draining. Even with health coverage, the expected out-of-pocket expenses related to her procedure are monumental. This presents a challenge that Dionne and her family cannot meet alone.

To help with the financial burden of Dionne’s uninsured expenses, a fundraising campaign in her honor has been established with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that has been providing community-based fundraising guidance to patients and their families for more than 30 years. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law, are held by Help Hope Live in the Southeast Lung Transplant Fund, and are administered by Help Hope Live for transplant-related expenses only.
